What Is Architectural Cast Stone?
Architectural cast stone is made from a carefully mixed blend of Portland cement, fine or coarse crushed aggregate, and additives that allow us to precisely control the color, shade, and surface texture of each finished piece.
It matches the look and feel of natural stone — and in many cases outperforms it in terms of consistency and cost. For projects that require custom dimensions, specific detailing, or a precise color match, cast stone offers a level of control that quarried stone simply can't.

Our Casting Methods
COBO works with two primary casting methods, selected based on the requirements of each project:
Architectural Precast Concrete (Wet Cast) — suited for complex forms and larger-scale production runs
Vibrant Dry Tamp (VDT) — a traditional dry pack method that produces exceptional surface detail and a refined finish. Petr trained in this technique in Europe, where it has been practiced for generations. It remains one of COBO's most valued capabilities and is rarely offered at this level in the U.S.
